There are a lot of articles written about this weapon of ninjas but none of them can describe it in the proper way. Some authors call the weapon “Fistful of Dynamite” and a lot of them start sharing the opinion and knowledge they have which is not related to the origin of the weapon. The name of this weapon is Kubotan and it is a very simple self-defense weapon.
Though it is simple, those people that are considered to be ninjas carry this weapon all the time, including martial artists and non-practitioners. This weapon is generally used to control an attack situation. It is one of the cheapest weapons a person can get but with the help of it a person can easily prevent an attack of enemies. Besides, it is a perfect chance to train your self-defense skills.
It looks rather simple as well and depending on the manufacturer it is represented by a stick made of steel or wood. The length of the weapon should not be longer than 6 inches but it can also have a metal ring at one end. It is difficult to say whether the weapon is typical to ninjas or not but it is a well-known fact that most of the warriors of that time used this weapon to defend themselves.
At present, you may find modern versions of this weapon made of plastic and aluminum. It may look simple but in the hands of a master, this stick may become a dangerous weapon that has the capability to penetrate the target and cause a lot more damage. Besides, this weapon can be used by small defenders that want to become real masters in the future. As a result this weapon is considered to be the best weapon for those who are just starting to become ninjas.
