When a person gains understanding of how to use basic weapons within the art of ninjutsu, teachers provide this student with information on original Ninja weapons. There are a lot of weapons and skills to learn and one of the official weapons is considered to be the Kubotan which is mainly used in the self-defense tactics. Though, it can also be used in the martial arts and a skilled Ninja can also cause harm to an enemy.
As you see, there are a lot of ways to use this weapon and we will discuss some of them. First of all, the Kubotan can be used to cause pressure into the bones located at the back of the hand. As a result, an enemy experiences pain and it distracts the attention of the opponent. This lets a Ninja to attack the opponent while he is busy with pain. Another way is associated with an incoming kick or punch. By blocking it and driving the blunt end of the Kubotan into the weakest parts of the body, the opponent can be defeated.
The Kubotan can also be used when a Ninja appears to be unarmed and the weapon is kept under a belt or in a pocket. Surprising an enemy is one of the ways to win the battle but most of the self-defense methods are based on the principle when a weapon is already out. Using additional weapons out of a sudden is one of the most effective tactics of Ninjas.
The weapon may not be used but shown which will draw attention of the opponent to it while a Ninja will have enough time to kick and strike any enemy. There are even cases, when a Ninja uses a pen or a metal bolt to show that he is armed which helps him use timing and simple moves to win a battle.
